Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (which I originally featured in this post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also worn them enough now that I understand how they really perform, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

Where did you end up buying them?
I found mine on discount via Cettire and purchased them that way!
I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were shipped to me by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick and that’s a win in my book
How expensive are they?
Back in April, I found a deal for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.

Are they true to size?
I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair.
They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good right away. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since my feet get sweaty. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in fake leather. Plus, they’re already broken-in so your feet just slide in.
How durable are they?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid. Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose are just on another level. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is unique. And the sparkle on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Would you recommend them?
Absolutely! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is smarter. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. I went bold with sparkle, but a minimalist version would also be smart.

They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36. They haven’t stretched at all, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up a size

They required minimal break-in time.
How durable are they?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. Nothing has torn, and the leather hasn’t stretched.
Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
